I took this in the sense that a rainbow has some kind of power to transorm a desolate place, deserted of life and only surrounded by death into something lush and wonderful, filled with animals and vegetation.

This one was taken semi metaphorically, in the sense that chaos could be swirling around someone(represented through the darkened sky with the two hulking figures appearing as though they are about to ensue in battle), while they just took the time out to relax(depicted by a person settling into the photo watching the birds flying around the mountain.//


Its better to burn out than fade away.

This was my original idea, Andre partly helped me with coming up with his idea through him saying different meanings for "burn out". i took this as a sense of being put into a mental ward, this is portrayed by the legend of zelda character, link, being tied up in a straight jacket with a crazed glean on his face. the fading away is ironically, represented through an internet meme known as epic fail guy.. or EFG slowly fading into the building.
A Stitch in time saves nine.

This one was quite simpler, in the fact that there are stitches in time over 8 characters, 7 of them being knights from Oblivion. Alas Poor johnson was not able to be saved from time.//

Today we've basically been trying to "nut out" our ideas for the assignment we've recieved. we also had to narrow it down to three.. i can only remember one idea,, i really shouldnt have left my book at my mates house.. oops. but yeahh nathan helped me to think of other approaches to it. i.e. a projection from the middle of the table so others at the table can also interact with it.

It's harder than it seems to get my words onto paper.. well microsoft word.

So this restaurant takes interactivity to a whole new level, people are able to interact with many
different aspects, which include things like games, being able to call cabs to the location and so on.

okay so this isn't really a new technology for a menu, its a technology that registers when a consumable drink is empty, and allows the waiter/tresses to know when to ask them for another drink. I'm liking this technology a bit. The containing video relates to viewers how the infrared technology is used in this.

This machine is quite interesting, it allows the user to view foods, interact with other customers,
split bills and other functions without the aid of a waiter/tress. The fact that it is able to view video's
while you wait for your meal to be prepared is a unique idea, one which may keep the children enthralled.

4.)So yeah, this menu seems kind of cool, it is very interactive and very creative, it may keep the children entertained if they like trying to unfold items and trying to reconfigure them, however i don't think that the business owner will like the children dismantling their menu's unless they have a massive stock readily available.

5.) This link doesn't deal with just one menu type, it has a variety of things, i.e the pizza place in germany has a card chip system which eliminates the need of waiters, where you pay as you leave and you don't have to tip waiters, therefor making it cheaper.

I like this picture because it makes it seem as though the splash effect of the paint is emanating from the laptop, as it is pouring out of the usb drives and the same color can be seen on the screen of the laptop itself. There is a mix of photography and CG which are used to produce the end result of this picture.It seems to have a pop style which would appeal to the masses of pop lovers within the photography community. Its purpose is to show the effects which cg can be sued for on photo's.

This Add for coca-cola is pretty creative and interesting; seeing how the insects interact with each other to achieve their ultimate goal: the release of the cola into the plants below for each respective insect to collect some, That is why i like it, it shows their ingenuity, whether it be the bee's tipping over the cola, the dragonflys escorting it while it on its lily pad or the butterflies acting as a cover for the cola. The media used for this is a combination of video and CG animation, the Cg animation being all the insects and most of the time the coke bottle. Ob this is corporate sponsored, so it has to be that of a corporate genre. Its purpose is tat tot ell us of the ingenuity of bugs, and that they will some day take our drinks away from us while we are asleep.. oorr to promote that everything loves coca cola and would do anything to get it, this is an awesome add"

So candy fuels a kids imaginations now eh? I could have sworn it was a kids creativeness that fuelled imaginations. oh well I still like this advertisement, its use of bright colors help to draw a kids eyesight to the product, making them believe that a sweet is able to create different possiblities from two or more "sweetards." It uses a combination of animations, bright colors and sounds, I'm guessing to draw a kids attention, cus we all know, kids are easily distracted from other minor tasks which aren't food, games, or anything related to either of those" the flashing neon colors serves as a beacon to their sensitive eyes. There is no genre for this. This short clip is designed as an ad for children.. great, another product to make the already hyper children even mroe hyper.

So uhh yeah this one kind of trips me out as it shows the life of a flower after its picked and "if" it was sentient how it would use a human as a flower instead. The reason for liking this is .. weirdly because it creeps me out, i mean whow ould have thought to draw a scenario like this? The type of media that the producer used for this is that of animation, as he seems to be a talented artist who thinks creatively, thus posessing a knack for thinking outside the triangle. This picture doesnt seem to have a genre.. unless creepiness is a genre now, please dont let it be one. i believe that tis purpose is to try to get people think about "what would a flower do if it decided to become humanoid.. and pick humans as flowers as we do to them, then replant them after they die.".. that or to make us try to think creatively

Shatter World
I am liking this video because it shows the steps(i.e storyboarding, modelling)to creating various objects (as storyboarding and modelling are used as an early stage production. The models look as though they are in a high resolution. "Behhind the scenes of 'shatter world'" uses a combination of Video, animation and sound to create a "realistic" CG scene. This vidoc of Shattered world seems to have a grungy genre to it. It seems as though humanity is fighting to survive against an unknown enemy, whilst trying to wrest Earth from its grasp.The purpose of this Vidoc is that to show the "making of" behind the (what i assume it is) game, the steps and designs that it goes through until its finished product. This being said i think that it accoplishes this role well.

So yeahh i found this one interesting as the users of qbt listed of the anime that they love for other people, basically building an easy list for new users/ people who are interested in watching different anime.

"Get The Glass" Review.

depending on the broadband speed, can take forever to pre-load, some mini-games.

Get the glass is a simple flash based games with a few pro's and con's.

The pro's being the contrast in colors depending on locations, some of the mini-games, and the detailed
animations of the whole product considering its age.
I noticed during several run throughs of the game that the color contrast
of where you start off in (a hide out.. which is relatively close to Milkatraz apparently)
differs to other areas; i.e being Milkatraz itself, it had a bleak
dark setting( probably signifying impending doom of the family of thieves). This was actually a good way to show the distinction between the families freedom and/or doom.

I thought that the detailed animations in Get the milk was on par with anything that may have been created today (i.e Coraline)
thats actually pretty impressive considering it was Designed for Flash players..

now the cons.. the cons irk me .. alot.. more so than usual.. maybe its cause I'm up at this time writing instead of sleeping,
maybe its because.. i have no other reason okayy?.. anyhow they annoy me.. basically the grievances that annoy me are
the unresponsiveness of the mouse during the minigames, i mean seriously, why have a mini game where you have to drag and click halfway across the page just to make the van move in a certain direction? it would be better if they could have more accuracy in it. The Dice also annoyed me, i would flick the mouse around the screen whilst clicking on it and let it go.. only to have it spin around 4-5 times.. i bet if i did that now with a real die it'd spin alot more than four times.. another thing that irks me is depending on what speed broadband the users have it can take a long time to load.. as i found out.. (kinda gave up when it counted down.. from 100-86 in 20 minutes) but then again.. considering its epic level of graphics that is to be expected..
